Kiki Strike wishes to be dangerous. When she suddenly appears at Anaka Fishbien's school, Anaka is intrigued. This intrigue turns to need for information about this four foot tall and almost albino girl. When Kiki tells Anaka she is starting a group of geniuses and delinquent girl scouts and asks her to join, Anaka says yes.

Little did she know--this group of girls would soon be running from smugglers, discovering a city, and trying to keep Manhattan's biggest secret ever.
